SMART AUDITS FOR VENUES & EVENTS

Smart Audit for Venues & Events - The SAVE ReportClear insights. Better patron experiences. More repeat business. The SAVE Report is a comprehensive evaluation designed to help venues, event organizers, and institutions create environments where people feel comfortable, engaged, and eager to return with friends.Using our SOLACE Model & Framework (TM), we examine factors like acoustics and lighting, and other ambient factors to generate a Smart Audit report (and SOLACE Score) which provides practical, actionable recommendations for building designers, venue managers, and event runners.
With a SAVE Report, you can:Increase guest satisfaction — improve comfort and reduce barriers to participation.Boost reputation and retention — make your space or event a first choice, not a fallback.Stay ahead of compliance — align with accessibility and safety standards before they become mandatory.Save money long-term — identify low-cost fixes and smart upgrades that prevent costly mistakes.Whether you’re a venue owner, event organizer, government agency, or non-profit, the SAVE Report and SOLACE Score equip you with the knowledge to deliver experiences that are memorable, inclusive, and impactful. These benefits extend to your patrons, your guests, and the broader community.

The SOLACE Model™ comparison above highlights only high-level differences. The detailed framework, scoring criteria, and assessment methods remain proprietary and are available exclusively through NeuroMix Consulting services.”
In 2025, NeuroMix launched an open survey to collect sensory experience data from event goers. Here are the preliminary pain point results of respondees:

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. We’ve never had complaints about this before. That’s actually really common. People often don’t speak up about sensory discomfort - they just quietly decide not to come back. The cost isn’t in complaints, it’s in lost repeat customers and word-of-mouth.2. We already follow building codes and AODA/ADA standards.Great! That’s the baseline. Codes ensure legal compliance, but they don’t guarantee a positive guest experience. SOLACE goes beyond compliance to help your space perform better for everyone.3. We can’t afford upgrades right now. That’s why I separate the recommendations into quick, low/no-cost fixes and longer-term upgrades. Many improvements are free (or very affordable). You’ll see benefits without needing a budget line.4. Our patrons like it the way it is.Some patrons may be fine, but what about the ones not coming back? My work helps you capture the people who currently avoid or struggle with your space. It’s not about changing what works, it’s about broadening your appeal (and boosting revenue).5. Why should we pay for this? Can’t we just Google best practices? You can find generic checklists online, but every venue has unique acoustics, layouts, and clientele. My audits are custom, grounded in lived sensory expertise, and backed by data you won’t get from a template. That’s what makes the insights actionable and valuable.6. This feels like a nice-to-have, not a priority.Sensory comfort directly affects repeat attendance, staff productivity, and even liability. Small changes can reduce migraines, burnout, or accidents, which means happier patrons, safer spaces, and fewer missed shifts. That’s not just nice-to-have, it’s a smart investment.7. Why is it so expensive for just a report? It’s much more than just a report. It’s expert analysis, on-site observation, and tailored solutions you can act on right away. You’re paying for both the framework and the future value: fewer lost customers, stronger word-of-mouth, and measurable improvements in guest experience.8. Our staff can just keep an eye on this.Staff are great at day-to-day management, but they’re used to the space and may not notice issues fresh eyes catch. I provide an outsider’s perspective plus structured criteria, so nothing slips through the cracks.9. This seems more relevant for big organizations, not us.Actually, smaller venues often benefit the most. Big chains can absorb customer loss. For small businesses, every repeat patron matters. Sensory-friendly improvements give you an edge against larger competitors.10. How do we know this will actually pay off? There’s strong research showing that better sensory environments improve customer satisfaction and repeat visits. I also provide before/after metrics, so you’ll see your scores improve if you re-audit. It’s not abstract - you’ll have numbers to track progress.
Q: How is the SAVE Report different from existing building codes or certifications like OSHA, LEED, or ASHRAE?
A: Building codes and standards like OSHA, LEED, and ASHRAE focus on safety, sustainability, or technical system performance. The SAVE Report builds on these by looking at how real people actually experience spaces — comfort, inclusivity, and sensory accessibility. It’s not about meeting minimum compliance; it’s about creating environments where guests want to stay, return, and recommend.Q: Does the SAVE Report replace standards like LEED or WELL?
A: No. SAVE is designed to complement, not replace, existing standards. Where LEED emphasizes sustainability and WELL emphasizes wellness, SAVE zooms in on the sensory and social comfort of guests in real-world settings like events, venues, and workplaces.Q: Is the SAVE Report recognized by government regulators?
A: SAVE is an independent framework developed by NeuroMix Consulting. While it references OSHA, LEED, ASHRAE, and other benchmarks for context, it is not a government certification. Instead, SAVE provides a higher layer of insight for venues and organizations that want to go beyond compliance to improve accessibility and inclusivity.Q: Why should my venue invest in SAVE if we’re already compliant with building codes?
A: Compliance ensures you meet the minimum safety and legal requirements. SAVE helps you move from “safe enough” to “comfortable, inclusive, and welcoming.” That translates into longer guest stays, more repeat visits, and a stronger reputation for accessibility and inclusion — things codes and certifications don’t measure.Q: Can SAVE be combined with certifications like LEED, WELL, or BOMA?
A: Absolutely. SAVE often highlights areas that enhance performance in these frameworks — for example, better air quality aligns with WELL, while improved acoustics can contribute to LEED points. SAVE adds a new layer by showing how those changes impact inclusivity and guest experience.Q: Is the SAVE Report only for new builds, or can it be applied to existing spaces?
A: SAVE applies to both. For existing venues, it identifies practical retrofits and event-level strategies. For new builds, SAVE helps designers anticipate sensory comfort from the ground up, complementing traditional engineering and architectural standards.
ADDITIONAL NOTESEven one accessibility complaint can cost an organization tens of thousands in reputation management - my role is to help you prevent that.Replacing a single professional costs 1.5–2x salary; my recommendations help retain staff so the consulting pays for itself. There are dozens of DEI consultants, but I’m one of very few offering neurodiversity-focused sensory environment audits. The SOLACE framework isn’t a template - it’s a tailored solution that directly addresses your space, your workforce, and your events.
